This year we are offering School Direct Salaried places for Primary teachers,  and Secondary School  Applicants wishing to teach Maths or Physics.

Future Stars Teaching School Alliance is led by Queensbridge Primary School, an outstanding school with a fantastic record of training high calibre students to reach their potential.  As a lead school we are committed to offering our pupils a welcoming and nurturing environment that offers a sense of belonging. We pride ourselves that we know each and every child inside out and do our best to help each child find their strengths and talents so that they will flourish and be challenged. As a National Teaching School our Head Teacher Sarah Bailey OBE is an NLE and we have Specialist Leaders of Education with a variety of specialisms, including Early Years, Literacy, Restorative Justice and Computing.

Our Teaching School Alliance consists of a network of ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ schools in Hackney and Islington, four primary school and two secondary schools (see below for details).  We have a successful long-standing partnership with The Institute of Education (UCL) which has been providing outstanding, world-class teaching training, for over 100 years. IOE graduates are highly sought after in schools and colleges throughout London and the UK.

Future Stars TSA offers a unique blend of school-based experience and university led learning which ensures depth of experience and exposure to a wide range of best teaching practices. Students will be part of a school team from the start based in an identified class with an experienced teacher.  Many of our class teachers started their teaching careers as school direct students themselves, so they have a wealth of experience to offer.

All of our students benefit from a strong support network that will lead to quick progress in becoming outstanding practitioners.  At school, as well as benefitting from their class teacher’s experience, an experienced school-based mentor is on hand, offering regular meetings, practical advice and a listening ear when needed. Students will also have a mentor from UCL who will visit on a regular basis to support their progress.
