Background

Introduced in 2011, teaching schools are all rated as “Outstanding” and mark a shift towards school-centered training.

Future Stars TSA was designated by the National College of Teaching and Leadership in April 2014 as part of cohort 5. Our lead school is Queensbridge Primary School, an outstanding National Support School. We offer Initial Teacher Training for student teachers in partnership with Goldsmiths University and Institute of Education (UCL).  We continue to support our newly qualified teachers throughout their career, into middle leadership and beyond. Our Teaching School designation allows us to talent spot and designate excellent practitioners with subject specialism or identified areas of expertise as Specialist Leaders of Education.   This in turn allows us in term to carry out outreach work for schools requiring support across our region.

We offer subject specialisms in Behaviour Management, EYFS,  Computing, Dialogic Teaching, Early Reading, Maths, English and Modern Foreign Languages.

Introduced in 2011,Teaching Schools are all rated as ” Good” or “Outstanding” and mark a shift towards school-centred training. They work with partner schools in an alliance, including at least one university, to ensure high quality school-led initial teacher training and professional development opportunities for teachers at all stages of their career.

Teaching Schools raise standards through school-to-school support, engage in research and development, and ensure that the most talented school leaders are spotted and supported to become successful headteachers.
